Your ID – special ID requirements have been set out by WorkSafe Victoria

When you are applying for a high risk work licence, you need to provide 2 identity documents, including at least one document containing a suitable photo.

You will need to provide:

  • Australian passport – current or expired less than 3 years ago
  • Australian birth certificate
  • Australian citizenship certificate
  • ImmiCard
  • a current foreign passport with a valid Australian visa

You must also provide one of these:

  • Australian driver licence or learner permit
  • Medicare card
  • an Australian passport – current or expired less than 3 years ago (if you have not already provided it)

If there is a difference in your name as it appears on both documents, you will need to provide a change of name certificate or a marriage certificate. The certificate must be issued by a State or Territory registry of Births, Deaths and Marriages.
You will also need to complete a live ID check, matching the image on your identity document to a live image or video of you.
